Sewer Repair & Cleaning

Does your water not drain properly? Not sure why there seems to be a stoppage?

Sewer clogs usually happen in the mainline that connect your home to the cities municipal system or your septic tank. Once your sewer main is clogged, dirty water from your home’s drainage system can show up in places you don’t want. When this happens, it’s not only disgusting but can also be hazardous to you and your family’s health.

The first step is to assess the problem: Think about how much stuff gets thrown down the drain, food, hair, dirt, oil, tp, etc., and all those things can get trapped and create a clog. If you have hard water, the minerals gather around your pipes and create a build-up which, combined with the other stuff, can eventually clog.
There are many reasons for clogged sewer pipes; here is a small list of reasons:

  • Off-Grade Pipes: Pre 1990, it was customary to use galvanized, but galvanized steel is very vulnerable to corrosion and deterioration.

  • Corrosion: As mentioned before, hard water can wreak havoc on your pipes, causing damage or breakage of pipes and restricting water flow.

  • Tree Roots: Tree or shrub roots are a common cause of clogging when they grow through your sewer lines.

  • Bellied Pipes: This happens when the earth under your pipe move and create a valley were debris and waste start collecting.

Regardless of the reason, when you have a blockage and need a professional team to take care of the issue, give us a call, and we can have you flowing in no time.
